Reinvent Your Career
Maybe you feel that career change is an unwanted move at this time in your life. I want to show you that you are completely wrong about this.
You can look at anything in a pessimistic way. How you perceive change is your personal decision. Career change is in no way a tragedy. On the contrary, you can consider it a gift. You are given a chance to completely reinvent yourself. If you are in your forties or fifties this maybe just what you needed. You have much more time and wisdom than when you were in your twenties or thirties.
Really, sometimes I need a compass to find my way through the priorities (family, business, parenthood, house keeping). Do not get me wrong, I am enjoying my life, but it certainly has its challenges. It is a struggle for me too. I can cry for hours about my lack of time and my selfless living. I would pay a lot for a quiet night alone, but I would lie restless because I would be thinking about my husband and our son. I just wanted to remind you of the problems of your youner self.
If you made a mistake when you were just starting out this is a unique opportunity to get things straight and sail in your career dreams with your eyes wide open.
Cure
What you need is a fresh eye, to see things from a different perspective. If you can’t get your eyes to freshen up please find somebody to give you some hints. I would suggest some soul searching with a skilled tour guide. If you are a DIY person try looking into some (business) directories. Wide range of businesses and services will surely give you some ideas.
When choosing your ideal career keep in mind the following: your interests, abilities, values and lifestyle.

And when you have a list of desirable careers, evaluate: career marketability and earnings.
